Chinese Chess Improved

I like Janggi a lot.
The rule changes are all of the better: the pawns can support each other, the elephants are useful, the cannon don't dominate the game & make is as abstract as in Xianqi, and the alternative setups allow some variety & strategy at the very beginning.
You get a better sense of an army moving forward in this game.
I've introduced it to the students at my college, and interest has been noted.
It seems to "make more sense" than Xianqi, but don't tell the Chinese!
